September 7th to 12th sees the return of the annual British Science Festival, this time hosted by Newcastle University.
The festival, organised by the British Science Association, brings scientists from around the country together to present their latest research to the general public.
Over the course of the week, more than 250 events, activities and exhibitions will be taking place, ranging from talks with high-profile speakers like Dr Robert Winston and Dr Michael Mosley to ‘science buskers’ out on the streets of Newcastle.
Check out the full programme of events here. Most of the events are free, so if you’re in the area and fancy taking part in this science extravaganza, get down there!
If you can’t make it, we’ll miss you, but don’t despair! We’ll be bringing you the biggest stories as they break, direct from the festival, as well as a daily round-up of all the comings and goings.
